Experience in regards to International Collaboration |
- 1. Collaboration with Pierre Rigal, 2012
LG Arts Center and French Company Compagnie Dernière Minute and Swiss Theatre Vidy-Lausanne co-produced a new dance piece called Theatre of operation, choreographed by Pierre Rigal, the artistic director of Compagnie Derniere Minute in France with engaging Korean dancers, Korean costume designer and stage co-operation by LG Arts Center staff. As a main co-producer, LG Arts Center helped finding Korean dancers and creative team and provided rehearsal studio for 50 days and technical support for the premiere. After premiered at LG Arts Center on 14 – 15 September 2012, the production successfully toured in Europe for 10 cities including Paris and Swiss Lausanne in 2012-2013 season.
- 2. Co-production with Pina Bausch Wuppertal Tanztheater, 2005
LG Arts Center co-produced Pina Bausch Wuppertal Tanztheatre’s ‘Rough Cut’ in 2005 which was inspired by Korean culture and Korean people. During their creation period in Wuppertal, our staff and I supported their research works by sending many materials, photos and music of Korea, and helped the company members to experience Korean life and meet Korean people when they visited Korea for 2 weeks in 2004. After premiered at LG Arts Center in June 2005, Rough cut has toured many European countries including Paris, Berlin and Wuppertal since 2006.
